The 1308060-K0801 Silicone Oil Fan Clutch Assembly is an original equipment (OE) thermally controlled fan drive unit designed to regulate the speed of the engine cooling fan on Dongfeng Tianlong, Kingrun, and Hercules series heavy-duty commercial vehicles. By automatically adjusting fan engagement based on radiator outlet air temperature, it significantly improves fuel efficiency, reduces engine load, and lowers operational noise.

Using a bimetallic thermal sensor to detect ambient heat behind the radiator, the clutch controls the flow of high-viscosity silicone oil between driving and driven plates, enabling smooth torque transfer and precise thermal regulation. This intelligent system ensures that the fan operates at full speed only when needed—such as during low-speed climbing or high-load operation—and disengages under light loads or cold conditions.

Constructed with a high-conductivity aluminum housing, this unit meets IATF 16949 (formerly TS16949) quality standards and delivers reliable performance across extreme operating environments—from arid deserts to freezing northern climates.
