Professional Installation Required
The cab lifting system involves both electrical and hydraulic components. Incorrect installation can lead to cab drop hazards or system damage. Use certified technicians only.
Disconnect Battery Before Work
Always disconnect the negative terminal of the 24V battery before removing or installing the motor to prevent accidental activation or short circuits.
Check Hydraulic Fluid Level & Quality
Ensure the hydraulic reservoir is filled with correct fluid (typically ISO VG 32 or HVLP 32 anti-wear hydraulic oil). Low levels can cause dry running, leading to motor/pump overheating and failure.
Inspect Entire System During Replacement
When replacing the motor, also check:
Hydraulic hoses and connectors for leaks
O-rings and seals in the pump
Condition of the solenoid valve (if applicable)
Dashboard control switch operation
Avoid Overuse / Continuous Running
Do not operate the motor continuously for more than 30 seconds at a time. Allow cooling periods between cycles to prevent overheating and brush wear.
Ensure Proper Grounding
Poor grounding is a common cause of weak performance or failure. Clean ground points and ensure tight connections.
No Load During Lifting
Never operate the cab lift when:
Passengers are inside the cab
Heavy tools or equipment are stored on the floor
The cab is not properly aligned or locked in place
Use Genuine or High-Quality Parts
Avoid counterfeit motors — low-quality windings or bearings can fail prematurely and pose safety risks.
Post-Installation Test
After installation, perform multiple test lifts and lowers under observation to confirm smooth operation and no unusual noise or delay.
Regular Maintenance
Periodically inspect the motor for signs of corrosion, loose wiring, or oil leakage from the connected pump.
