The 232-011-017-141D Temperature Switch is a high-reliability normally closed (NC) thermal switch produced by VDO, now under Continental AG, and widely used across heavy-duty commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery, and industrial diesel engines. Designed to monitor engine coolant temperature during cold start-up phases, this sensor plays a critical role in preheating indication systems, cold-run restriction controls, and instrument cluster warning circuits.

With an actuation point of 28°C ± 3°C, it remains closed when the engine is cold and opens the circuit once the coolant reaches ~31°C—signaling that the engine has begun to warm up. It is commonly used in John Deere tractors, Yutong, Higer, and King Long buses, as well as on industrial engines such as John Deere 4039/4045/6068 series.
