Park securely and apply parking brake.
Turn off ignition and disconnect both battery terminals.
Wait 2–3 minutes to discharge stored energy.
Remove trim bezel around the center console carefully (use plastic pry tools).
Take note of wiring harness routing and grounding points.
Unplug multi-pin connector from the back of the panel.
Inspect pins for corrosion, bending, or moisture damage.
Unscrew mounting brackets or release clips.
Gently pull out the old control unit — avoid damaging surrounding components.
Insert new unit into dash opening.
Secure with original fasteners.
Reconnect main electrical plug firmly until it clicks.
Reconnect battery.
Turn key to ON (do not start engine).
Observe display: should light up and show default settings
