Sinotruk HOWO
| Attribute | Specification |
|---|---|
| Part Name | Platinum-Iridium Spark Plug / High-Energy Ignition Plug |
| OEM Part Number | 202V25923-0005 |
| Alternative Numbers | 202V25923-0001, 202V25923-0002 (earlier batches or supplier variants) |
| Electrode Material | • Center Electrode: Iridium (ultra-fine wire, ~0.4–0.6mm) • Ground (Side) Electrode: Nickel alloy with Platinum weld pad for enhanced durability |
| Thread Size | M14 × 1.25 mm |
| Reach Length | Standard reach (~19.5 mm) |
| Hex Size (Wrench Flat) | 16.0 mm |
| Seat Type | Gasket-sealed (flat seat) |
| Thermal Value | Cold-type (high heat dissipation) — designed for high-combustion-temperature natural gas engines |
| Internal Resistor | Built-in ceramic resistor (~5 kΩ) — suppresses electromagnetic interference (EMI) |
| Gap (Pre-set) | Typically 0.7–0.8 mm (factory pre-gapped; not recommended to adjust manually) |
| Dielectric Body | High-purity alumina ceramic insulator — crack-resistant and thermally stable |
| Shell Material | Nickel-plated steel shell with anti-seize coating |
| Voltage Withstand | Up to 40 kV (compatible with high-output coil-on-plug systems) |
| Manufacturing Standard | OEM production for SINOTRUK, commonly co-developed with or supplied by NGK or Champion |
| Weight | Approx. 0.04 kg per unit |
Name1
Name2
Due to the sensitivity of natural gas ignition systems, precise installation is crucial.
Engine Off & Cooled Down: Wait until engine temperature <60°C to avoid burns and thread damage.
Disconnect Battery: Remove negative terminal before accessing spark plugs.
Clean Surround Area: Blow away dust/debris from plug wells to prevent contamination during removal.
Inspect Plug Wells: Check for oil, coolant, or moisture that could cause misfire.
Disconnect ignition coil connector (part: 202V25916-0001).
Remove ignition coil and boot (202V25919-0005) carefully.
Use compressed air to clean debris from cylinder bore.
Insert new 202V25923-0005 by hand first — ensure no cross-threading.
Tighten using torque wrench:
Torque Specification: 25–30 N·m (for aluminum cylinder head)
Over-tightening can crack ceramic or strip threads
Reinstall ignition coil and rubber boot securely.
Reconnect electrical connectors.
Repeat for all cylinders.
