Replace Regularly
Follow maintenance schedule: every 15,000–20,000 km.
In dusty environments or poor fuel areas, shorten interval to 10,000–12,000 km.
Drain Water Before Replacement
Open the water drain plug at the bottom of the separator cup before removing the old filter.
Dispose of separated water properly.
Use Genuine or High-Quality Filters
Avoid counterfeit products — they often lack proper coalescing layers or burst strength.
Choose OEM or trusted brands like Fleetguard, Donaldson, MANN-FILTER.
Lubricate the O-Ring Seal
Apply a thin layer of clean diesel or light oil to the rubber seal before installation.
Prevents dry fitting and leakage.
Hand-Tighten Only
Install by hand until the gasket contacts the mount.
Final tightening: 3/4 to 1 full turn after contact (do not use wrench unless specified).
Over-tightening can crack the housing or damage threads.
Bleed the Fuel System After Installation
Use manual primer pump or electric fuel pump to remove air from the system.
Failure to bleed causes hard starting or no-start condition.
Inspect Mounting Base
Check for cracks, corrosion, or damaged threads on the filter head.
Replace base assembly if worn.
Check for Leaks After Start-Up
Run engine and inspect around filter for drips or seepage.
Stop immediately if leak is detected.
Dispose of Used Filters Properly
Considered hazardous waste — recycle through approved facilities.
Do not incinerate or dump.
Storage Advice
Store upright in dry indoor environment.
Keep protective cap on until use.
