Installation Instructions

✅ Tools Required:

  • Torque wrench

  • Socket set (M16–M20)

  • Wrenches, pry bar (for alignment)

  • Safety stands and lifting equipment

  • Grease gun (if bushings require lubrication)

️ Step-by-Step Installation:

  1. Lift and Secure the Vehicle

    • Raise the front end safely using a lift or jack stands.

    • Ensure the front axle is fully supported or unloaded depending on suspension state.

  2. Remove Old Shock Absorber

    • Loosen and remove upper and lower mounting bolts/nuts.

    • Carefully extract the old unit—avoid damaging brake lines or steering components.

  3. Inspect Mounting Points

    • Check rubber bushings, brackets, and eyes for cracks, wear, or deformation.

    • Replace damaged bushings (e.g., OEM part AZ1642430091) if needed.

  4. Install New Shock Absorber (WG9100680001)

    • Insert new shock into position—ensure correct orientation (rod up, reservoir down).

    • Reinstall mounting hardware with new lock nuts/washers if recommended.

  5. Torque Specifications

    • Typical torque: 180–220 N·m (verify per model manual)

    • Tighten all fasteners to manufacturer specifications:

    • Do not overtighten—this can damage rubber bushings.

  6. Final Checks

    • Lower vehicle slowly.

    • Visually inspect for clearance and proper alignment.

    • Test drive at low speed first; listen for abnormal noises.
