As a core element of the S-cam drum brake system, it maintains precise brake stroke length—typically within 0.7–1.2 mm—ensuring full braking power, reducing driver pedal effort, and preventing brake fade due to excessive travel. The device operates based on mechanical sensing principles: during each braking cycle, it detects increased lever movement and engages an internal ratchet mechanism to shorten the effective arm length, restoring ideal geometry.

This model features a 19-tooth spline output that matches Sinotruk’s standard front axle camshafts and is widely used across HOWO, SITRAK, and upgraded Steyr-based platforms. Constructed from high-strength ductile cast iron or forged steel, it delivers excellent resistance to deformation, impact, and fatigue under continuous operation.
