Name1
Name2
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Rated Voltage | 24V DC – Standard for heavy-duty commercial vehicles |
| Maximum Current Ratings | • ACC (Accessory): 10–15A • ON (Run): 20–25A • START (Starter): 30–40A (short duration only) |
| Electrical Terminals | Multi-pin connector (typically 5–8 terminals), labeled: B+, ACC, IG, ST, E (ground) |
| Switch Positions | 4-Position Rotary Operation: 1. LOCK/OFF – All power off (steering locked if equipped) 2. ACC – Powers accessories (radio, wipers) without engine running 3. ON/RUN – Activates full electrical system (ECU, gauges, fuel pump) 4. START – Engages starter motor (spring-return to ON when released) |
| Contact Material | Silver alloy or copper contacts for low resistance and high durability |
| Housing Material | High-strength flame-retardant ABS plastic + metal reinforcement |
| Protection Rating | IP54 or higher – dust protected and splash resistant |
| Operating Temperature | -40°C to +85°C |
| Durability | Rated for ≥100,000 cycles (key insertions/rotations) |
| Weight | Approx. 0.3–0.6 kg |
⚠️ WARNING: Disconnect battery before starting work to prevent short circuits or accidental engine start.
Park vehicle securely, turn off ignition.
Disconnect negative terminal of 24V battery.
Remove any trim panels covering the steering column or dash-mounted switch.
Take photo or label each wire connected to the old switch.
Carefully unplug multi-pin connector or remove terminal screws.
Unscrew mounting bolts or release clips.
Gently pull out the unit — avoid damaging the key cylinder mechanism.
Insert new switch into place.
Align correctly and secure with mounting hardware.
Torque screws to ~6–8 N·m (do not overtighten plastic housing).
Match wires/terminals according to markings:
B+: Battery positive (constant)
ACC: Accessories
IG/ON: Main run circuit
ST: Starter signal
E: Ground
Ensure firm connection — loose wires cause intermittent faults.
Reconnect battery.
Turn key through all positions:
ACC: Radio, fan should power up
ON: Dashboard lights, ECU self-check active
START: Engine turns over; returns automatically to ON
OFF: All systems shut down
Confirm no smoke, heat, or burning smell.
