Confirm correct model: Use SINOTRUK EPC system to verify compatibility with your VIN/chassis.
Inspect new rod: Check for bent shafts, stripped threads, damaged ball joints, or cracked dust boots.
Clean mounting areas: Remove rust, dirt, old grease, and debris from pivot points.
Prepare tools: Torque wrench, open-end wrenches, hammer (for removal only), protective gloves.
Remove Old Support Rod (WG2229210041):
Loosen lock nuts and disconnect clevis pins.
Extract carefully without damaging surrounding components.
Position New Rod:
Align with selector arm and intermediate linkage.
Ensure no binding or interference with frame or wiring.
Install Clevis Pins & Washers:
Insert through eyes of rod and arm.
Add flat and spring washers if specified.
Secure with Lock Nuts:
Tighten to recommended torque: Typically 30–40 N·m
Apply thread locker if required.
Adjust Length (if applicable):
Rotate threaded end to match original center-to-center dimension.
Recheck alignment after adjustment.
Final Inspection:
Manually move linkage — should operate smoothly without play or stiffness.
Test all gears from inside cab — ensure full engagement and neutral return.
