The Rear Lower Reaction Rod, commonly referred to as the Lower Thrust Rod or Rear Push Rod, is a critical suspension linkage component in heavy-duty commercial vehicles such as heavy trucks, tractors, dumpers, and 6×4/8×4 chassis systems. Installed below the rear tandem axles, this straight or slightly curved rod connects the chassis frame crossmember to the rear axle housing, forming part of the complete axle location system.

Working in conjunction with the Upper V-Type Thrust Rod, the lower reaction rod controls longitudinal movement (axle walk) and lateral shift of the rear axle during acceleration, braking, and cornering.
