Installation Instructions

⚠️ Warning: Improper installation is the leading cause of premature failure.

✅ Tools Required:

  • Torque wrench

  • Seal installer tool (specialty driver kit for rear main seals)

  • Micrometer or caliper (for shaft inspection)

  • Clean lint-free cloths

  • Light coating of engine oil or recommended assembly lube

️ Step-by-Step Installation:

  1. Prepare the Engine

    • Drain engine oil.

    • Remove transmission or clutch assembly to access the rear main seal location.

  2. Remove Old Seal

    • Carefully extract the old seal using a puller or pry bar — avoid damaging the aluminum engine block bore.

  3. Inspect Components

    • Check the crankshaft journal surface for scoring, burrs, or wear.

    • If damaged, polish lightly or replace crankshaft as needed.

    • Clean the seal housing bore thoroughly.
